Fast hack: Convert a .PSD file into .PNG...quick!

For the marketing freelancers & small business owners who are running the whole show alone, this is for you.

I've always used Canva for graphic design, and the reason I've done so is because Photoshop overwhelmed the fuck out of me. I learned the basics, enough to create a graphic design, manipulate fonts, and isolate backgrounds, but anything further than that felt like rocket science.

That said, I ran into consistent issues over the years if clients sent PSD files, because I can't open that in Canva.

It's no secret that the adult novelty industry isn't the most..tech savvy...so my options were: ask the client for PNG versions - which they likely didn't have, or figure out a way to do it myself. I knew either way would take some time, but I always ended up asking friends who had Photoshop to convert images for me. It's likely that the client didn't do any graphic design, and only had the PSD versions of original files that their web designed provided. It's a whole thing. IYKYK.

I discovered Photopea recently, and there is no download, registration or email address required to convert any file into a different format.

Can AI do this too? Likely. But using Photopea is likely just as fast, and doesn't destroy the environment. 🙃

If you need to convert a PSD file -- or any file -- into a different format, head to Photopea's website and follow these simple steps:

Step 1: Open Photopea.com

Step 2: Click "Open From Computer" & select the file you want to convert

Step 3: Click "File" in the top hand left menu bar ---> "Export As" ----> Choose format

Step 4: Save to your computer

To upload & convert another image, go back to "File" and select "Open." Repeat.

Was this blog entirely too ong and/or unecessary? Perhaps. But I have a lot of shit to do and this was the perfect excuse to procrastinate!

Am I 10 years late to the free .PSD file conversion tool party? Leave a comment & let me know.
