Is throwing dildos America's new signature act of resistance?
In July 2025, fans who tossed dildos onto the court at WNBA games made national headlines. That momentum eventually faded when the season ended.
This past weekend, dildo tossing returned to the spotlight in "Operation Dildo Blitz" a campaign that quite literally pegs federal agents with public opinion. Hundreds of Instagram clips show protestors in Minneapolis launching dildos at government SUVs, hinting that that dildo throwing might be the newest protest symbol in America.

With over a million Instagram followers, Jolly Good Ginger has helped propel the campaign into feeds across the globe. He was on the scene in Minneapolis, where protestors asked him to sign dildos.

Some Instagram users said that the dildo throwing exhibition felt more performative than supportive of the community.
Upon further investigation, "a huge amount" of these dildos were donated by The Smitten Kitten, an independent adult retailer in LynLake, MN.
Various online reports, Reddit threads, and social media posts confirm that the retailer has been providing mutual aid out of their shop since January.
How the Minneapolis community is supporting Operation Dildo Blitz
Last Wednesday, Victoria Public Relations shared an Instagram post that mentioned suburban moms in Minneapolis have joined the dildo cause.

The post caption reads, "We should have predicted that a little call-to-action video combined with “eye of the tiger” as the audio would have mobilized hundreds of suburban white women. Shoutout to all the moms who showed up for the dildo store."
Earlier this evening, Tuxedo Dungeon posted an Instagram photo of GirthQuake, a local drag king, posing in a T-shirt that says "THE SLUTS WILL SAVE US".
Smitten Kitten confirmed that the "SLUTS WILL SAVE US" t-shirts were donated anonymously by a neighbor. (As of tonight, they are not available for purchase yet.)
Will sluts and dildos save us?
Whether or not sluts and/or dildos will save America, it’s clear they’re sticking to the cultural moment.
Throwing dildos at federal agents somehow feels more responsible than what many American government leaders are doing with their power.
